In Math, we have been reviewing how to solve basic Multiplication Facts. To help us review, we played a game where students rolled a dice and used the number they rolled along with a number from their gameboards to make a multiplication problem. Whoever used the most numbers from the gameboard successfully would win. There were some very tight matches, with students only winning by a couple points!

Students have been working on our math unit of Whole Numbers. Currently, we have been learning how to add 3 and 4 digit numbers. To help visualize what these problems look like, students have been using an online Base Ten Block interactive to help them make and add large numbers. We've learnt that a thousands block = 10 hundreds blocks, a hundreds block = 10 tens rods, and 1 tens rod = 10 ones cubes.
For the first unit in math, students are learning about Patterns and Relations. Here, students were playing a game. One student would make a pattern rule on a hundreds chart, and their partner would try and figure out their rule!
