With the start of a new school year comes many important dates and information. Below are a few reminders for upcoming school events and general classroom matters.
September Events:
- Sept 14 House Day - Students are to wear house shirts on this day as we will participate in house activities in the afternoon.
- Sept 18 Extracurricular Activities Assembly - From 9:00 to 10:00 am, an assembly will take place in the auditorium outlining the available extracurricular activities and times for Term 1. Parents are welcome to attend.
- Sept 25 Extracurricular Activities Begin - The start for extracurricular activities! Please keep in mind if students are staying after school.
- Sept 27 Open School Evening - From 6:00 to 7:00 pm, parents and students are welcome to come to the school for a general presentation from the homeroom teachers about the Alberta program. Topics range from how report cards work to classroom routines. After the presentation, parents and students are welcome to take a tour around the school and visit other teachers.
Classroom Reminders:
- Please have students bring a set of earphones or headphones to school as they will need it for certain websites in the class.
- Reading Log Sheets are available in the classroom. To earn house tokens in Grade 4, students will need to read for a total of 14 days for at least 300 minutes. These sheets need to be signed off by parents or guardians.
